Refund Policy

This page outlines how Literary Lab handles deposits, revision scope, cancellations, and refund requests for digital publishing and design services.

Project Scope First

Work begins only after the project scope, deliverables, pricing, timeline, and revision expectations are confirmed in writing. This reduces misunderstandings and protects both sides before production starts.

Deposits and Payments

A 50% deposit is required to start a project unless another written arrangement is agreed. The remaining balance is due before or on final delivery, depending on the confirmed project terms. Payment may be handled through Payoneer, bank transfer, or Upwork.

Included Revisions

Two revision rounds are included within the approved project scope. Extra revision rounds, major direction changes, or new requested deliverables are charged separately before the additional work continues.

Cancellation Before Work Starts

If a client cancels before project work, planning, or production has started, a refund may be available because no meaningful work has been performed yet.

Cancellation After Work Starts

If work has already started, been completed, been approved, or been delivered, payments are non-refundable. If a client cancels after work is done, no refund is provided for the completed work.

Late or Unresponsive Projects

If a client stops responding and later returns asking for a refund after production time has been reserved or work has been completed, the payment is non-refundable. A refund is considered only if Literary Lab Studio does not complete the agreed work on time and the client does not approve a revised delivery plan.

Technical Corrections and Billing Questions

If a publishing platform flags a technical file issue caused by Literary Lab Studio's file setup within the agreed scope, we aim to correct that issue. For billing or refund-related concerns, contact hello@literarylabstudio.com with the project name, delivery stage, and issue summary.
